Sau Fong Chan

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mrs. Sau Fong Chan, passed away in Portland, Oregon, on June 11, 2024, at the age of 91. Mrs. Chan was originally from Shizui, Luokeng, Xinhui, Guangdong, China. She was born on October 28, 1932, and married Mr. John Chan in 1949. After their marriage, she gave birth to three children: her eldest son Victor, her daughter Sandra, and her youngest son Joseph. She enjoyed spending time with her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Chan was actively involved in the Mai Wah restaurant with her husband, John. She converted to Christianity and was a member and elder of the Portland Chinese Presbyterian Church. She will be deeply missed by her family, relatives, and friends.

Mrs. Sau Fong Chan was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Chan and is survived by:

-Son: Victor Chan, Daughter-in-law Anita. Granddaughter Charissa, Grandson-in-law Geoff Tock. Great-grandsons Isaiah and Ezra. Grandson Isaac Chan. -Daughter: Sandra, Son-in-law Leonell King. Grandchildren Leandra and Evan. -Son: Joseph Chan, Daughter-in-law Mandy. Grandchildren Ethan and Audrey.

A funeral service to celebrate her life and faith will be held on Monday, July 15th at 1:30pm at Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home.

We take comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior. We appreciate your love, support and prayers.
