Shane Mikkel Davis, age 45, of Oregon City, Oregon passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025. He was born October 6, 1979 in Pendleton, Oregon to Robert and Debra (Kinsella) Davis, but lived in Oregon City most of his life. He was a graduate of Milwaukie, High School. For many years, Shane worked at the Edwards Center Shelter Workshop. He loved going to church, having been baptized into the Lutheran faith.
In his words:
"I love going to the beach, going on trips in the motor home, going to Missouri to visit my family, and going to Huntin' Partner, our cabin in Heppner. My favorite songs are the Star Spangled Banner, You Are My Sunshine, Happy Birthday, and all the Beach Boys songs, especially Barbara Ann. I love watching movies. When I was younger I would wear out VCRs because I watched so many movies. Now I love watching movies on my iPad. Some of my favorite movies are Free Willy, Tommy Boy, Heavyweights, and Home Alone.
Most importantly, I love everyone. I have never met a person I didn't love. I love introducing myself to them and giving them a hug and telling them I love them. I love my family, my friends, and my dogs."
Shane will be deeply missed by his mother Debra Hiatt. He was preceded in death by his dad Bob Hiatt in 2024. He is survived by four brothers and sisters, Shaun, Toby, Angie, and Mandy and their spouses; father Robert Davis, stepmother Connie, and sister Shannon; fifteen nieces and nephews and three great-nieces.
Shane will be privately-interred at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, with a public drop-in Celebration of Life to take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 1-5 pm at the Oregon City Elks Lodge #1189 at 610 McLoughlin Blvd in Oregon City.
In his memory, Shane's family would be grateful for donations to the Cascade Life Alliance at https://give.ohsufoundation.org/?pid=CLA or to Solvita Vision Gifts.
