

Chapel services for Stephanie “Steph” Charlene Calcutt-Tillery will occur at 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 23 at Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Portland, Oregon. Burial with military honors will occur after chapel services at 1:30 PM in Willamette National Cemetery, and she is to be laid to rest next to her husband, Joshua Tillery. Stephanie passed peacefully Sunday, December 5, 2021, at her home in Meridian, Idaho.
Steph was born December 24, 1978, in Florence, South Carolina, a daughter of John Calcutt and Cathy Rankin. Steph was a 1997 graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School in Lugoff, SC. After completing high school, Steph enlisted in the United States Army. Steph served in the Medical Corps at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Landstuhl, Germany from 1997 to 1999 as a Medical Trainer and Orientation Coordinator. Steph later served as a Squad Leader from 2000 to 2002 in Ft. Lewis, Washington. She had a promising future in the Army, but sacrificed her career to raise her children.
Steph loved her family and friends. She loved to travel. She never met a stranger and had an infectious smile that would draw you in. She enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen at times.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Alec, Colin, Hayden, and Tristen Tillery, brother Jay and Mandie Calcutt (South Carolina); and half-brother, Michael Calcutt (South Carolina). She was preceded in death by her husband, Joshua Tillery; grandparents, John and Nell Rankin; mother, Cathy Rankin; father, John Calcutt; sister, Vanessa Thompson; and nephew, Xander Gage Thompson.
