Tammy was born on September 23, 1958, in Billings, Montana. From a young age, she carried a resilient spirit and a deep devotion to the people she loved. She dedicated her life to her family—first to her two children, and later to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren who became the center of her world.
Tammy raised her daughter, Katherine, and her son, Justin, with unwavering love, humor, and a generous heart. She became “Grandma” to five grandchildren and “Great-Grandma” to two. Tammy lived for them, and they adored her in return. To her grandkids especially, she was steady ground and a constant source of comfort. She was their stability, their cheerleader, and the person who showed up for them no matter what. Losing her so suddenly has been especially painful for them and speaks to how deeply she shaped their young lives. They will carry her love and her lessons with them forever.
Tammy also faced physical challenges from birth, including lifelong hip pain, yet she never allowed it to define or limit her. She embraced nature, loved to hike, and found peace in the outdoors with her loyal dog, Lily, at her side.
Those who knew Tammy will remember her as the glue of the family. Her presence could fill a room, her laughter could lighten difficult days, and her determination to keep her family connected is something her loved ones now cherish deeply. We all wish for more time, yet take comfort in the peace she is in and in the pieces of herself she left behind in all of us.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Brian, of 27 years; her daughter, Katherine; her step daughter, Ashley; her mother, Joyce; her sister, Debbie; her stepfather, Doug; her step-siblings, Rob and Trina; and her beloved grandchildren Danika (26), Kyle (25), Taylor (18), Felix (15), River (13), and great-grandchildren Kolson (3) and Parker (2). She was preceded in death by her son, Justin, who passed in 2014.
Tammy will be honored and remembered for the rest of our lives. She leaves behind roots that reach wide and deep—woven into her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were better for knowing her.
