Ta'Raey Mishanne-Jiles Bliven

February 9, 2010 – March 12, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ta'Raey Mishanne Bliven, who left us far too soon on March 12, 2025, at the age of 15, due to a severe asthma attack.

Ta'Raey was born on February 9, 2010, to his loving mother, Sybil, and was later joined in life by his stepfather, but who he would come to know as dad, Kenneth Adair, who became a part of his world when he was just a year old. From an early age, Ta'Raey brought joy and laughter to everyone he met. His infectious smile and boundless energy lit up every room, and he had a special gift for making people feel uniquely special —whether you were a child or an adult, Ta'Raey made you feel like a friend.

A natural leader, Ta'Raey was a guiding light for his cousins and family. He had a magnetic personality and a heart that embraced everyone. He loved video games, especially Fortnite, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Minecraft, and he could often be found sharing his passion with friends and family.

Ta'Raey was also a talented performer, participating in Bravo, a musical troupe through his school, where he expressed his creativity and love for music. He attended César Chávez Elementary and Roosevelt High School in Portland, Oregon, where he made a lasting impact on classmates and teachers alike.

Ta'Raey was a beautiful soul with so much promise. He lived with kindness, courage, and love, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed.

A visitation for Ta'Raey will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ross Hollywood Chapel, 4733 NE Thompson St, Portland, OR 97213.
