Terry Lee Reed passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, at the age of 74. Born in Medford, Oregon, on May 26, 1950, Terry was the cherished son of Ruth (Huber) and William Reed. He was raised in both Medford and Portland, Oregon, where he attended Portland Public Grade Schools and graduated from Benson High School in 1968. He went on to attend Portland State University for two years.
Terry’s professional life was marked by dedication and integrity. He worked at Tri-MET for 15 years in the purchasing and inventory department, including five years in a managerial role. Later, he joined Precision Castparts Corp (PCC), where he served for nearly 20 years in the purchasing department.
Beyond his career, Terry had a passion for food and gardening. He loved to barbecue, cook, and especially to bake artisan breads. A true green thumb, Terry took great pride in his vegetable garden, particularly in cultivating a variety of peppers. His famous “Poppy’s Blended Hot Pepper Flakes” were a highly anticipated Christmas gift that brought warmth—and a kick—to the holiday season.
Terry will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor and his knack for knowing the most “useless information,” as his children fondly teased him. But above all, he will be remembered for his deep faith and the joy he found in sharing his love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, with others. Terry’s life was a beautiful testament to love, service, and unwavering devotion to family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Reed; daughter Sarah Reed and her husband, Noah Third; son Anthony Arcuri; son Aaron Arcuri and his wife, Aslinn Arcuri; daughter Liz Reed and her husband, Ian Clark; as well as his beloved grandchildren, Milla Third, Scarlett Arcuri, Rosario Arcuri, and Jesse Arcuri.
A life well lived and a man well loved—Terry will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
