Thomas Brian Arndt was born on April 7, 1959 in Inglewood, Ca. Tom, unfortunately passed away on June 19, 2024 in Portland, Oregon after a lengthy major surgery. He was preceded in death by his Mother Geraldine Arndt, his Father George Arndt, his brother James and his brother Steven. He is survived by his brothers Donald (Cindy), Robert, Gregory, his sister, Susan Gerke (George), his girlfriend Sandy Caranci and his best friend Rich Hrubosky, who we consider our seventh brother. Also survived by several nieces and nephews he was very special to. His early years were spent in Southern California, where he graduated Cypress High School in 1977.
Tom enjoyed playing softball and golf, and loved to discuss conservative politics. He inherited a sarcastic and dry sense of humor from his Dad, who loved to tell jokes. He had a very successful dog waste removal business, Pet Butler, which allowed him to ultimately live the lifestyle he always desired. He was a big sports fan, and loved the Lakers, Dodgers and Rams. He was charitable, giving generously to the Wounded Warrior project and Tunnels to Towers, among others.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Tom’s wish was to be cremated and then interred near our mom and dad at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park (Sacramento, CA).
He wished to not have a service, however the family is considering doing something in the future. We will keep you posted.
