

Tom was a 1948 graduate of Grant High School, where he was a three year state champion in tennis, earning him honors into the PIL Hall of Fame. He graduated from the University of Oregon in 1952 where he received a Bachelors’ Degree in business. Later, Tom was drafted and served 3 years in the US Army.
Tom met his first wife, Diane, while attending the University of Oregon. He met his second wife, Joyce, through his job as a salesman for a wholesale paper company. Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was extremely proud of his family. In his spare time Tom loved to play golf, tennis and keep up with the Oregon Ducks. He was also an avid Civil War buff.
He is survived by Erin Grimm of Salem, Oregon; Scott Macdonald of Portland, Oregon; Brad (Brigid) Anderson of Seattle, Washington; Wendy (Todd) Anderson of Sydney, Australia; Curtis (Kevyn) Love of Issaquah WA; Laurie (Matt) Shannon of Oregon City, Oregon; ten grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
