Tony, Tissa to us, was a great person. I met him at the OBV Temple few years ago, and he always talked to us in a very friendly manner.

At the time when we were organizing our first musical concert in Portland with ‘Oregon-Lanka Art Foundation’ he helped us, encourage us in a very positive manner – ‘Yes we need to do this kind of things for the community’ that’s what I heard from him at that time.

We are very saddened to Tissa’s family for the loss, and it is also a big void to the community that cannot be filled with such an energetic laugh.

Please accept our condolences!

With Deepest sympathy,
Jeevan and Sujeewa

I remember Tony first coming to Emanuel Hospital to work in the laboratory. He was kindest person any coworker would want to work with. I saw his progression through the next few years to get his citizenship. I told him I would always call him by his given name! Well, that changed as did the different duties within the laboratory. He is Tony, always the gentleman, if it be on the phone or making an office visit out in St.Helens. I saw him last just before I retired in 2018. He was still the same person from beginning to end of my laboratory career. My heart goes out to his family, especially his wife, for the loss of such a great and wonderful husband. Rae Blank
