Bill Church passed away peacefully on November 14th, 2016.
He was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and is a graduate of Benson High School. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War. He went on to proudly serve in the Army and Air Force, and is a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars.
After retiring from the Air Force he returned to Portland and earned an associate’s degree. He was an electrician and building manager for the Government Service Administration and worked at the Federal building in downtown Portland. He retired in 2006 after more than 46 years of combined military and Federal service.
Bill is survived by his wife of over 40 years, two sons, five grandchildren and one great grandson.
A service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 19th, at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland.
