

Born to John and Dorothy Taylor, Ed grew up as the middle child of three, in Hollansburg ,Ohio.
Ed Graduated from Hollansburg High School before being drafted into the Korean War in 1953. Ed served proudly in the Army from 1953 to 1961, when he was Honorably Discharged.
In January of 1965 Ed decided to leave Ohio and head West, riding his Harley Davidson all the way across the country, stopping briefly in Turlock, California before settling down in Oregon.
Oregon became Ed’s home for the next 56 years before moving to Placerville, California with his daughter and son-in-law, in 2021.
Ed enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, hunting, fishing, bowling, working puzzles, and was a proud lifetime Moose Member of around 50 years.
Ed is survived by his son, James Taylor of Forest Grove, Oregon; daughters, Karen Tomlinson (Tom), Sharon Taylor, and Lisa Miller, of Greenville, Ohio, and Sue Ann Taylor (Gary Wetter) of Placerville California; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many cousins, nieces, and a nephew.
Ed is preceded in death by his loving wife of 26 years, Elberta ‘Betty’ Lucille Taylor; his parents, John and Dorothy Taylor; his sisters, Pauline and Ruth; grandchildren, Stephen and Jennifer Amick; and two great-grandbabies, Matthew Amick and Juniper Rawlins.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 PM at Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, at 4101 NW. Skyline Blvd., Portland, Oregon 97229. There will be a Graveside Service and Military Honors promptly to follow at 1 PM at Skyline Memorial Gardens Cemetery, all are welcome to attend.
