

Winona Jean Huston was born on May 14, 1922 in Portland, Oregon, the only child of David Elmer and Dixie Elizabeth (Walker) Huston. She attended Vernon Grade School and Jefferson High School. Winona played the Hawaiian steel guitar and taught music at Ray Wilkinson’s Music Studio. She married Wilbur Roscoe Keller on May 15, 1943. They had a daughter, Julie, and a son, Gary. She did bookkeeping for the family business, The Line-Up Shops, Inc.
She belonged to Mallory Avenue Christian Church and later the Presbyterian Church of Laurelhurst. She sponsored many needy children through Christian Children’s Fund, World Changers International, Bibles for the World (Partnership Ministries) and Compassion International. She and Roscoe spent a number of winters in Mesa, AZ. They were married for 57 years. She enjoyed golf, bowling, playing the organ, reading, and her Manchester terrier, Toby.
Winona is survived by her son, Gary Keller (Glenda), of Summerville, and daughter Julie Johnson (Dave) of Portland; grandchildren Terri Schroll (Chad) of Oregon City, Cheryl Price (Kevin) of Lakeland, FL, Berny Richardson (Stacy) of Sandy, Jeremy Johnson (Amanda) of Scappoose, Sabrina Kerr of Scappoose, and David G. Johnson of Portland; and great-grandchildren Dakota, Montana, Nathan, Madison, Alex, Ava, and Becca.
