Barbara Jean Dodds

Barbara Jean Dodds, 83, of Potsdam, NY passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, after a long illness. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service. After retiring from NY Telephone, Barb volunteered at the Potsdam Public Library and the St. Mary’s Catholic School library for many years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church; and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and the NY Telephone Pioneers.

She was predeceased by her parents, Winford and Dorothy Dodds; and two brothers, Donald and Robert. She is survived by her brother Tom (Mary) Dodds, sisters Patricia (Rock) Murdough and Janice (Dan) Lalonde, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday, April 4 from 4-7 pm at Garner Funeral Service, Potsdam. A funeral mass will be held at St Mary’s Church in Potsdam, on Wednesday, April 5 at 10:30 am with Rev. Stephen Rocker celebrant. Burial will be at St Mary’s Cemetery in Potsdam in the spring. In lieu of flowers, because she was an avid reader and lover of books, contributions in Barb’s memory may be made to the Potsdam Public Library, or a charity of your choice.
