Mrs. Hazel M. Mitchell

Funeral Services for Mrs. Hazel M. Mitchell will be held on Tuesday, September 11th at 1pm at the Garner Funeral Service with Rev. Jack Downs celebrant. Burial will follow the service at the St. Lawrence Cemetery. Mrs. Hazel M. Mitchell, age 67 of Potsdam, NY passed away on Thursday, September 6th at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service in Potsdam. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Monday, September 10th from 4-7pm. Hazel is survived by her husband Kenneth Mitchell, her mother Wava Belle Randall, a daughter Jennifer (Jozsef) Pinczes, several brothers and sisters, several nieces and nephews and 4 grandchildren. She is predeceased by her father Elmer Randall, a son Bruce Mitchell and a brother Eugene Randall.

Hazel was born August 14, 1945 in Potsdam, NY to Elmer Randall and Wava Belle Greenwood. She attended Potsdam schools. On December 31, 1965 she married Kenneth A. Mitchell. Hazel worked at Ronnie’s Market for a while, she did some babysitting and was also a homemaker. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Church. She enjoyed playing cards and crocheting.
