Jan, Jim, Gary and families...
We never knew your Dad until Erin and Greg were married, and then what a joy it was getting to know him! He was one in a million, so kind and caring, funny, interesting, independent, stubborn. There was nothing about your Dad we didn’t love. He became like family to us, and we will miss him so!
Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers; we pray the wonderful memories you have of him bring you peace in your loss.
Jim, we know your reunion with your Helen was beautiful. Rest In Peace together, dear friend! ❤️

Jim will be greatly missed. He was such a good neighbor and was always out working on his lawn or his flowers. He always kept his home so nice and it will be so sad to look over there and not see him. God bless and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Dear Jimmy, Jan, and Gary,
So sad to hear of Uncle Jim’s passing. A few weeks ago I spent an hour with him in the hospital. He not only knew me, but spent the hour reminiscing about the summer and winter camps. Uncle Jim was my godfather, I always looked forward to seeing him and aunt Helen - they always made time to catch up. So many fond memories including the family trip to Cape Cod... He lived a good long life, richly deserved. I’m sure he’s been reunited with Aunt Helen, right where he belongs. May all the wonderful memories you share of your father give you some peace during this time of grief.

I would like to express my sincere sympathy to the Green family. Jimmy was a wonderful man a honest man I’ve known for years. I always looked forward to having lunch or breakfast at the diner and talking with him and my aunt Irene. They had some stories to tell of the early years. Jim was an example of what a husband should be. He will be missed by all who knew him. Rest In Peace Jim.

My husband Steve and I met Jim at the Village Diner a few years ago. Once I realized that Jim was there pretty much every time I came in, I walked up to him one day and said “I see you here way too often to not know your name!” He laughed and we exchanged names. After that, we never saw each other without exchanging a few words or a least a wave. When our son and daughter-in-law were expecting their first child, Jim was excited for us and told us that being a grandparent was pretty great! He was one of the first people to hear that wee Finlay had arrived, and he always asked for updates! It's amazing how much you can grow to love someone whom you know only in one, fairly limited, context. But when that someone is such a lovely, sweet soul it is easy to love him. We will both miss Jim, and I know that we're not the only ones. To Jim's family — we are thinking of you during this sad time.
