
Mr. Kenneth R. Grace, age 83 of Potsdam, NY passed away on November 29, 2015 at the United Helpers Maplewood Campus in Canton, NY. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service. Kenneth is survived by his wife Beth Grace; sons Michael (Ann) Grace of Milford, OH; Thomas (Patricia) Grace of Binghamton, NY; David (Heather) Grace of St. Paul, MN; daughter Margaret Lynne Ross of China; sisters E. Anne (Ronald) O’Brien of Hilton Head, SC and Louise Ross of Middlebury, VT; grandchildren Emily Grace, Erin (Paul) Slupski, Elizabeth Grace, Chelsey Ross, Cassandra (John) Coleman, Evan Grace, Andrew Grace and Ethan Grace; his in laws Sam and Sue Aiken and Bar and Mary Aiken and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kenneth R. Grace was born on December 5, 1931 in Potsdam, New York to Dr. Reginald L. Grace and Margaret VanDusen Whitney. He was a 1950 graduate of Potsdam High School. He then attended Michigan State University for 2 years. He served in the United States Army from 1952-1954. Upon his honorable discharge he returned to the North Country and went to Potsdam State Teacher’s College graduating in 1959. On August 28, 1959 at the United Methodist Church in Potsdam he was married to Beth Aiken. Ken was a school teacher teaching in Madrid for a year, Hannawa Falls for 6 years and then for Potsdam Central School until retiring with a total of 30 years. Kenneth’s biggest love was spending time on his wood lots. He enjoyed his time there hunting and fishing. Just being in the woods and his cabin was his idea of heaven. The family would like to thank the CNA’s at the United Helpers Maplewood Campus in the West Neighborhood for their compassionate care of Ken.
