
Mrs. Rosemary Z. Misiaszek, age 87 of Potsdam, NY passed away on February 24th in the Village of Potsdam at the home of her son. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 27th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church with Msgr. Robert Aucoin celebrant. Burial will take place in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Thursday, February 26th from 2-4 and 7-9. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley. Rosemary is survived by her son Edward T. (Charlotte) Misiaszek JR; daughter Catherine (Lloyd) Besaw and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Edward T. Misiaszek Sr.; a grandson Eric Misiaszek and siblings Richard, Robert and John Zick and Arlene Bielicki.
Rosemary Z. Misiaszek was born November 26, 1928 in Utica, NY to the late Frederick Zick and Catherine Taylor. She was a 1946 graduate of Utica Free Academy. She worked for General Electric in Utica for a few years. On July 5, 1952 she was married to Edward T. Misiaszek. They then made Potsdam their home. Rosemary worked in the SUNY Potsdam Bookstore and was also a homemaker. She enjoyed her granddogs, cooking and going to her son’s camp in Waddington. One of her greatest joys though was going to the store every day to chat with whoever she would run in to. She then would report back to her kids later in the evening of who she had the chance to talk to. Rosemary and her husband Ed were longtime members of St. Mary’s Church.
