

Alvin Wayne Glover, 80, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away May 9, 2026. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Mark Glover; great granddaughter, Mary Allen Nielsen; son in law, Christopher Edward Favreau; mother, Martha Spillers; father, Alvin Glover; and grandparents, MaMa and Papa Feathers. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ilah Glover; daughters, Bonnie Favreau, Becky Shaver (Chuck) and Jeanine Nielsen (Seth); grandchildren, Gregory Glover, Corey Nielsen (Mary), Timothy Pangaro, Alisha Tabor (Shelby), Kira Shelton (Kaleb); great grandchildren, Beau, Scarlett and Wyatt Glover, Miller Kate Nielsen, Luke, Elijah, Lily May, Elliana Shelton.
Wayne passed away peacefully at his home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Wayne was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Wayne never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back. He proudly served 30 plus years in the Air Force, until his retirement in August of 1993 as a Chief Master Sargent. Wayne loved traveling with is wife, Ilah and taking long car rides with no real destination in mind. Wayne was deeply loved by his family and will be dearly missed.
A committal service for Wayne will be May 28, 2026 at 1:15 at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, Al with full military honors.
