A Celebration of Life service was held Saturday March 21st at 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church of Posey’s Crossroads with Pastor Tommy Roy officiating. Anita was born July 10, 1963 to the late William Homer Thornton and Dorothy Jean Shaw Thornton.
She worked for many years in the retail store business. Anita will always be remembered for her outgoing personality and kindness to everyone. She enjoyed meeting people, gardening, cooking and cared greatly for pets and animals.
She is survived by her sisters and brothers; Teresa Chavers, Tracy Chavers, Melesa Moseley, Margaret Whitmore. Willie Thornton, John Thornton and a host of brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and many other close relatives and friends.
