Barbara Ann Ives

Barbara was the oldest of ten. She was born in Wetumpka, AL but moved to Montgomery, AL when she was young. At age 18, she married her husband who served in the Air Force for twenty-two years as a meteorologist. They traveled and lived all over the U.S., England, and Germany. Barbara was primarily a mother and homemaker. Although she had different jobs outside the home when she needed to do so. Barbara enjoyed bowling, tennis and running. At home, she was a great mother, cook and housekeeper. She also loved to read and work on puzzle books.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ives, her parents; Frank and Lillie Goolsby, son, Bradley Franklin Ives and sisters, Frankie, Regina, Linda, Jayne, and Mary.

She is survived by her children, Victoria Hickey (Mark), Richard Ives (Becky) and K. Celeste Provence(Glen). Barbara also leaves behind grandchildren, J, LeighAnn, Brad, Kristen, Megan, Alli, Angela, Rick, Calli, Amy, David, Justin, Kayla and many greats. She is also survived by her sisters Kay Russell and Mona Reeves; brothers Henry Goolsby and Billy Goolsby

A visitation will be held at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel, located at 347 E Main St, Prattville, Alabama, 36067, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm with the funeral service to follow the visitation at 3:00 PM. Burial will be December 9, 2025 at Riverside National Cemetery, California at 12:30 PM.
