Carolyn A. Turpen, 78, passed away January 12, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Turpen; parents, John and Sylvia Illiff and her sister, Alva May Thompson. She is survived by her children, James A. Turpen, Candace S. Johnson (John), Mark A.W.Turpen (Dina) and Deanna R. Turpen; siblings, John I. Illif Jr., Alva May (Illif) Thompson, Linda; (Illiff) Kaub and William M. Bradley. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Amber “Nikki” Gutscher (Andy), Kyle J. Turpen, James J. Lee, William C. Lee, Jenna P. Sanders, Amanda R. Kessel (Anthony Spencer) and Cory J. Hamby.
A graveside service for Mrs. Turpen will be held Monday, January 18, 2020 at Oakhill Cemetery in Prattville at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be James J. Lee, William C. Lee, Cory J. Hamby, Andy Gutcher, Michael Wyatt and Robert Anderson. Nick Edwards to officiate.
