Eleanor Batson

Eleanor Fay Burchfield Batson, 74, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away Tuesday August 14, 2018. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday August 17th at the New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Adger, Alabama with Pastor Tommy Johnson officiating.

Mrs. Batson was born on July 28, 1944 in Jefferson County, Alabama to the late Luther Armond Burchfield and Clara Lulleen Meeks Burchfield. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Lafayette Batson, III, a son, Eugene Lafayette Batson, IV and a daughter, Rebecca Fay Batson and a sister, Mary Alice Burchfield McAlpin.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Steve and Kerri Batson; two grandchildren, Steven Miguel Batson and his wife, Destiny; Maylin Linor Batson; two great grandchildren, Thomas Lynn Batson and Bryson Luke Batson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
