George is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Hammond; parents James Curtis Hammond and Nora Ethel Bedgood; and his brother, Jimmy Hammond.
George served in the U.S. Airforce for 27 years and held the rank of Chief Master Sgt.
He is survived by his sons George Randy Hammond ( Debbie) and Richard Steven Hammond (Linda); grandchildren, Justin Shiver, Lori Brown, Sabrina Hammond, Haley Hammond, Jason Hammond, Stephanie Martin and Joe Cupido III. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and his sister, Jackie Griffin.
A graveside service will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Flomaton, Alabama, on December 1, 2025, starting at 1:00 pm.
