BEATTY, Gregory Park “Greg”, 51, a Colorado native and a longtime Deatsville resident, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 10, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 14, at 11:00 AM at the Union Congregational Christian Church at 8188 Lightwood Rd. Marbury, Alabama according to Ridout’s Prattville Chapel. Greg, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and son, was full of life and deeply loved by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed. Greg is survived by his wife Ann, his parents, Park and Gladys, two brothers; Lynn (Kris) and Jack (Val), four sons; Stephen, Todd, Troy, and Chris, two daughters; Charlene and Katie, three grandsons; Zachary, Aiden, and Austin, and many nieces and nephews. A visitation to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday evening, October 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Union Congregational Church Youth Group.
