

SEAMON, CSM, (Ret.) Harold Edward, 69, a lifelong Prattville resident, passed away Wednesday July 3, 2013. Celebration of Life Services will be held Sunday July 7th at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Prattville with Dr. Travis Coleman and Pastor Dave Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
Mr. Seamon was born September 17, 1943 to the late David Edward and Frances “Boots” Seamon. He was a retired maintenance mechanic with thirty three years of combined service to Union Camp and International Paper. He also served for thirty eight years in the Alabama National Guard rising to and retiring as a Command Sergeant-Major.
Mr. Seamon loved Alabama football and Dixie Youth Baseball. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Pat Baker, and his brother, Danny Seamon. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; one daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Max Hall; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Seamon, Heath and Angela Seamon, all of Prattville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Shon and Karen Seamon, “Bud” and Susan Seamon; five grandchildren, John David Silas, Wyatt and Emma Seamon and their mother, Tamara Marshall, Abigail and Campbell Seamon; and a devoted canine companion, Maxine.
Active pallbearers will be his nephews, Boog Seamon, Matt Gober, Chad Baker, John Cargile, Jeremy Cargile, Kevin Stubbs, John Greer and Dave Shows. Honorary Pallbearers will be his fellow retirees and co-workers from International Paper Company, fellow Alabama National Guard members as well as Timmy Counts, Jereme Harris, Phillip Burdett, Chris Seamon and Brannon Wyatt.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Autauga County Humane Society, American Cancer Society or to Baptist Hospice. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel
