James Allen Dennis

DENNIS, James A. age 72, resident of Prattville, AL passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Survivors include his wife Brenda Dennis; children, Duane Dennis (Andrea), Melinda Craddock (Todd) and Renee Joiner (Keith); grandchildren, Erica Nelson (Brent), Jordan Dennis, Logan Dennis, Skylar Strength, Jaron Craddock, Wesley Swink, Carley Swink and Hunter Joiner; great grandchildren, Peyton Plyler and Harper Nelson; brothers, Andrew Dennis and wife Sherry, Richard Dennis and wife Lana and Paul Atchison and wife Gail. James was a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Prattville and was very active with the Gideon’s. He served as President of Alabama Independent Automobile Dealers Assoc. from 2001 – 2002 and was elected as Alabama State Quality Auto Dealer of the year for 2007. He was an Honorary Lifetime member of Alabama Independent Auto Dealers Association. In leiu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Gideon’s or First Baptist Church of Prattville. Visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at First Baptist Church. Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Prattville with Dr. Travis Coleman, Reverend Dave Burns and Reverend Doug Powell officiating. Pallbearers will be Skylar Strength, Logan Dennis, Jaron Craddock, Wesley Swink, Keith Joiner and Todd Craddock. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens Cemetery.
