James Murfee, born on September 18, 1939, passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 86. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Nelda Murfee and sister, Ann Sullivan.
James is survived by his son, Steven Murfee (Natalie) and grandsons, Garrett Mallett and Clayton Mallett.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 7:00PM at Ridout's Prattville Chapel, 347 E. Main St., Prattville, Al. 36067. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 1:00PM at Oak Hill Cemetery, Wetumpka St., Prattville, Al. 36067.
