Jean Meredith Segrest

Jean Meredith Segrest, born on April 6, 1946, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 79. Jean was a resident of Montgomery, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald "Don" Segrest; parents, Matthew and Hazel Meredith and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Donald "Hutch" Segrest (April) and grandchildren, Matthew Segrest and Ryder Godwin; sister, Jane and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jean lived a very private life focused on her family. She enjoyed spending time talking with her sister Jane and niece Kathy, staying weekends and holidays with her son and daughter in law, and playing with her grand-dogs. She loved her son and grandsons above all else and spent her life making sure they had everything they ever wanted and needed. She will be sorely missed, but we all know she is now looking down on us from Heaven wrapped in the arms of her beloved Don.

In honor of Jean’s legacy, we have established a college fund for Matthew. This fund will serve as a lasting tribute to her love and commitment, ensuring that her support continues to shape his future.
