Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Beveridge Burson; parents, Floyd and Sallie Tuley; as well as her sister, Dorothy Hall. She is survived by her son, Bruce B. Burson, Jr. (Monica); daughter, Leslie Burson Davis (Mark Lewis); grandchildren, Lane E. Davis (Elissa), Lyle A. Davis (Kristen), and Daniel P. Burson (Katie); as well as her great-grandchildren, Jude W. Davis, Jesse L. Davis, Willa C. Davis, Eleanor R. Davis, Vivienne H. Burson, Eloise T. Burson, and Theodore A. Burson.
Jeanne was born and raised in Prattville, Alabama. After she graduated from Autauga County High School, she attended Alabama Polytechnic Institute where she studied art. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority as well as a member of the committee which helped revive the Alabama and Auburn football rivalry. She met Bruce there; they married in 1949 and moved to Selma, Alabama, his hometown. During her time living in Selma, she was a member of Church Street Methodist Church, singing in the church choir, and was a member of the Selma Community Chorus, and the Charity League. Jeanne was also one of the founding members of the Selma Art Guild.
Jeanne had a passion and talent for art, preferring to paint still-life and scenic images with acrylics and water colors, though she dabbled in other mediums as well. She was also a magnificent seamstress. She made all of her and Leslie's clothes through the years, even making a sport coat for Bruce at one time. During Bruce and Jeanne's time together, they had countless road-trips all over the United States. They had a home on Lake Martin, where she adored having family gatherings. She was called Buddy by her grandchildren (and their friends) and loved nothing more than being their buddy and watching them play in the water. She loved to be where the family activity was. For Jeanne, the more family around the better. She was an extremely strong and proud homemaker as well as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
