John is preceded in death by his father, Emmitt O'Neil Tatum; mother, Annie Inella Tatum; and brother, Emmitt Franklin Tatum. He is survived by his wife, Becky Tatum; daughters, Mandi Collier (Wade) and Jennifer Monk (James); sisters, Anna Tant (Jack), Pat Tatum Rhodes and Lou Day; brother, Tommy Tatum (Sue); grandchildren, Tristan Collier (Amanda), Sydney Frazier (Caleb), McKenzie Monk and James Braxton Monk; and great-great grandchildren, Gunner Newsome and Kennedy Collier.
John was a avid Auburn football fan. He loved working in his yard and he dearly loved his family.
A visitation for John will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville, 347 East Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Bubba Tatum, Bart Tatum, Johnathan Tatum Josh Tatum, Phil Murphy and Billy Tatum.
