

Pierce, Mr. Joseph M. born February 18th , 1949 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on September 18, 2020. Mr. Joseph M. Pierce is preceded in death by his parents: Joseph E. Pierce and Sarah E. Pierce two sisters: Carole A. Simmons and Earline Gillaland. Mr. Joseph M. Pierce is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years: Bernice Pierce. One son: Joseph H. Pierce (Jennifer), One daughter: Tracy Petreit (Timothy), Seven loving grandchildren: Coleman Cosby, Tyler Cosby, Garrett Petreit, Benjamin Petreit, Nikki Pierce, Amy Pierce, Shawn Pierce and Three Step grandchildren: Katie Stevenson, Kyle and Ellery Martin , One sister: Mary Tatum and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Joseph M. Pierce proudly served his country as a Untied States Marine serving during the Vietnam War where he became a Purple Heart recipient, he married the love of his life on April 14th 1973. The two of them went on to own and operate their company Vinyltech Signs established in 1994. Joseph M. Pierce started his racing career at 34 years old throughout that career he received many awards and trophies for his accomplishments including being Track Champion. His most recent win was in 2005, that would be the last time Joe would sit in the drivers seat, but this love for the sport never faded. After he retired from racing, he began rebuilding and restoring vintage cars. Mr. Joseph M. Pierce cherished nothing more on this earth than his loving wife Bernice, his son Jody and daughter Tracy. At the end of every day the last thing he did was pray to the lord for his family. Visitation will be held at Ridout's Prattville Chapel on Tuesday September 22, 2020 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Ridout's Prattville Chapel on Wednesday September 23, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Rick Moore officiating.
