Kay Coburn Nummy “ Katie Mate” passed away on May 9, 2015 to be with Jesus. The visitation was held at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel on Wednesday May 13th at 9-10 o’clock the funeral followed. Kay was a supportive wife, a nurturing mother, and faithful daughter and sister. She was an incredible cook and always loved learning new recipes. She always supported her husband Ronnie Nummy, by being a friend and companion. She was an incredible mother to her children (Jacob Nummy and Jessica (Nummy) Gillis; always putting her children before her own needs, she was as you say selfless in many ways. She enjoyed being a mother and always was there for her family as a shoulder to cry on or to laugh with. She was the most supportive daughter and sister that anyone could have ever asked for and we are truly blessed to have had her in our lives. Above everything she will be truly missed and greatly appreciated and one of the most selfless people any one could have ever met, for that she will be greatly missed.
