Kayla Atchison Sutherland, 38, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away December 21, 2024. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Madison Sutherland; sister, Courtney Atchison and her father Ricky Morris. She is survived by her children, Destiny Swearengin, Alexis Swearengin, Benny “Trey” Swearengin III and Kamron Tew; mother, Connie Atchison; stepfather, Dennis Perdue; sister, Shannon Morris Sharpe (Jason); brother, Cody Atchison (Jessica).
Kayla’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and fostering a loving environment. Her homemade cooking and holiday gatherings were eagerly anticipated by family and friends. Kayla’s smile could light up a room and she never failed to make someone laugh. She was a daughter, sister, niece, friend and most importantly a mother. She will be missed by many and remembered by her joyous heart and comforting hands. May we be filled with her love on our worst and best days knowing that she will always be there.
