

CORLEY, Lewie H., 87, of Prattville, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Funeral services will held today (Saturday) August 21st at 2:00 PM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with Military Honors. Mr. Corley was born on June 27, 1923 in Clanton, to the late Harry and Betty Hand Corley. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. He owned and operated Corley’s Paint and Body Shop for many years. Mr. Corley enjoyed fishing and had a love of many kinds of music—so much so, that he had his very own genuine oldies jukebox. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Faye Corley of Prattville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Roy Glenn, Judy and Kenny DeRamus, Kathy and Gene Gillespie, all of Prattville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Jamie Corley of Montgomery, Ronnie and Jennifer Corley of Prattville; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bill Nichols State Veterans Home, 1784 Elkahatchee Road, Alexander City, Alabama 35010 or to the Alzheimer’s Association P.O. Box 96011, Washington , D.C. 20090-6011.
Mr. Corley was loved by his family and his many friends and will be dearly missed. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM today at the funeral home.
