

RUCKER, Marilyn Ann, 74, a resident of Prattville, Alabama, passed away at her residence on Friday, January 31, 2014. She loved God, family and church, and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Millbrook. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Thomas Lee Rucker, Jr., a son, Thomas Lee Rucker, III, her parents, John Charles and Clara C. Bittner, a sister Betty Jane Bittner, brothers John Charles Bittner, Jr., Max Starr, Merle Starr, Glenn Starr and stepmother Mary Starr Bittner.
She is survived by one son John Charles (Tracy) Rucker; a daughter, Mary Ann Rucker Pate (Rev. Eddie); six grandchildren, Crystal Lynn Rucker, Christopher Lee Rucker, Brian Austin Rucker, James Matthew Pate, Rachel LeAnn Pate, Brittany Morgan Rucker and a host of nieces and nephews.
She had played the piano since the age of 3 and continued to play at church throughout her life. Her smile and encouraging words touched many lives. She loved her friends and being a part of the “Joy Bells” ministry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made in her honor to the First Assembly of God Church, 3511 Shirley Lane, Millbrook, Alabama 36054.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 3rd at 11:00 AM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with Rev. Chuck Glasscock and Rev. Eddie Pate officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers were Christopher Lee Rucker, James Matthew Pate, Mike Gunn, Allen Rawlinson, Eddie Youngblood, and Randy Pate. Honorary Pallbearers were Edmund Thompson, David Middleton and Larry Rucker.
