Maudine Pogue Moates Bulger

BULGER, Maudine Pogue Moates, 77, of Prattville, passed away Monday July 4, 2016. A Celebration of Life was held Wednedsay July 6 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Bobby Ellisor and the Reverend Drew A. Willis officiating. Burial followed in the Prattville Memorial Gardens cemetery. Mrs. Bulger was born in Talladega, Alabama on July 14, 1938 to the late James Emmett Pogue and Evie Katherine Booth Pogue. She was retired from the Central Office of Autauga County Board of Education after many years of service. Mrs. Bulger was a longtime member of the Prattville First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her grandchildren and her many friends. She will always be remembered as a caring person who gave far more than she received. She was preceded in death by her first husband Wilton Moates and a son Danny Lyn Moates. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly twenty five years, Tony Bulger; two sons and daughters in law, Allen and Judy Moates, Greg and Beth Moates; a daughter and son in law, Susan and Adam Lawrence; four grandchildren, Taylor and Ashley Moates, Jenna Moates, Haley Lawrence, Shelby Lawrence; a sister Jo Ann Pogue Turner and her husband Denny; a special cousin, Janis Colee Lowther and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and close friends. Pallbearers will be Taylor Moates, Mark Dokas, David Garrett, Chip Colee, Chris Colee and Jimmy Pogue. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
