

Born on October 28, 1958, Miguel lived a life marked by devotion—to his family, his country, and his community. On August 4, 1979, he married the love of his life, Norma Moreno, and together they shared 46 wonderful years of marriage.
He was a proud father to Jessica Robison (Zack) of Dothan, Alabama, and Mary Elizabeth Matthews (Douglas) of Montgomery, Alabama. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Will and Web Griggs, and Ansley and Hamilton Grace Matthews, who brought him endless joy.
In 1983, Miguel answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy. Over the course of his distinguished career, he served honorably until 1997, including combat service during Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He retired as a decorated veteran, remembered for his courage, loyalty, and unwavering dedication.
Beyond his military service, Miguel was known for his adventurous spirit and zest for life. He loved swimming at the YMCA, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. His strength, humor, and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Miguel was preceded in death by his mother Mary Moreno and father Miguel T. Moreno. He is survived by his devoted wife, Norma, his daughters and sons-in-law, his cherished grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.

Miguel will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a proud veteran, and a man who lived each day to the fullest.
