Mildred Olney

She is preceded in death by her father, William Clark Cook; and her mother, Irene Cook. She is survived by her children, Guy Hayes (Wendy), Ray Hayes (Wendi), and Cheryl Popham (David); grandchildren, Star Hayes, Shane Hayes, Chris Hayes, Desiree Turner, as well as many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild.

Mildred loved flowers and had many around her home. She loved sports, especially football and baseball. Her favorite teams were Alabama Crimson Tide and Atlanta Braves. Her favorite kind of television were game shows and she was often seen watching Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. Many, many children knew her as “granny” as she loved watching children’s sports. She was a motherly figure to many of the lives she has touched and she will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 10:30 AM with a family and friends visitation 30 minutes prior. Following the service will be a procession and a graveside service at Prattville Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Sammy Kopf, George Frost, Chris Hayes, Kerry Butler, Dusty Barrett, and Parker Dick.
