Robert Earl Causey

Causey, Robert Earl , age 79 of Prattville, AL passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Prattville Baptist Hospital. He was born in Montgomery on November 15, 1945 to the late Elzey Leo Causey and the late Thelma McCullers Causey May.

Robert is survived by two daughters from his previous marriage to the late Linda Gay Smith Causey: Yvette Causey Dykes (Micheal) and Sabrina Causey Powell (Chris), four grandchildren, Logan Powell (Maggie), Kaiden Powell, Micheal Dykes, Jr, and Brittany King (Allan), and three great-grandchildren, Colson Powell, Novaleigh King and Rhett King. He is also survived by a sister, Frances Elizabeth Causey Thomas (Jerry), three brothers: Edward Neal Causey (and his late wife Nellie), Donald Lee Causey (Diane) and Larry Wayne Causey (Vivian) and sister-in-laws Betty Causey (wife of the late Charles Causey), Sue Causey (wife of the late Douglas Causey), Shelley Causey (wife of the late Bobby Causey), step-son Gary Branch and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife Fay Branch Causey, parents Leo & Thelma McCullers Causey, three brothers Charles Leo Causey, William Douglas Causey and Bobby Jerome Causey.

He was a plumber by profession. In his early adult years, he served in the Army Reserves during the time of the Vietnam War.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 11:00 am with visitation held at 10:00. Burial will be at the Pine Level Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Causey, Dale Causey, Ryan Causey, Michael Causey, Michael Whaley and Ray Womack. Ridouts Prattville Chapel directing.
