Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM Sunday November 16th at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel followed by his funeral service at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Prattville Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
Mr. Causby was born November 13, 1927 in Morganton, N.C. to the late Horace J. Causby and Anna Hennessee Causby.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He later served as a firefighter at Maxwell A.F.B. and retired with forty years of combined military and government service.
Mr. Causby was preceded in death by Sue, his loving wife of 51 years. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Dan and Margie Causby of Mooresville, N.C., Kerry and Debbie Causby of Prattville; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Edmunds and Craig Bush of Dallas, TX.; five grandchildren, Jenifer Bartlett, Melinda Powell, Andrew Edmunds, Kendall Causby, Kayla Causby; five great grandchildren, Kaylee Bartlett, Ryan Bartlett, Tyler Angley, Megan Powell, Jalen Powell.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mr. Causby’s caregivers for their kindness, love and support.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
