Anne, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 91.
Anne was born January 8, 1934 in Glasgow, Scotland and was the only child of Charles and Agnes Wallace. Her early childhood was during World War II and she would often share stories of what life was like during this time along with her teenage years that followed.
In 1955 she married the love of her life, George Strathairn (Strath) Lees in Shettleston Old Church in Glasgow where they started their family and lived until they moved to Canada in 1967 to start a new adventure. While Anne and Strath made many new friends over the years in Winnipeg, Anne often spoke of missing family and friends back home in Scotland.
In 2008 Anne moved to Surrey, BC and eventually Prince George in 2020 to be closer to family.
She lived a full life enjoying many family events with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed nothing more than her visits with her great grandchildren who brought so much joy to her life.
Predeceased by her husband Strath (1990) and daughter-in-law Brenda (2018), Anne is survived by her three children Stuart (Brenda), Fraser (Kathy) and Susan (Lee), her 6 grandchildren, Nicholas (Rachel), Jordon (Nicole), Joshua (Charlene), Dylan (Chelsey), Lindsay (Sam) and Devin as well as her 11 great grandchildren Beth-Anne and Maya, Hudson, Blakeley and Kinsley, Noah and Lukas, Ellie and Kamryn, Dallas and Karma.
Anne was independent to the very end, just the way she would have wanted. Her passing leaves a big hole in the family as well as in our hearts.
Family gathering to follow at a later date.
