Brendan Caines of Bartlett’s Harbour NL passed away on Tuesday, November 05, 2024, at 81 years of age in Prince George, British Columbia, surrounded by his family. Brendan had a great love for his family and friends. He spent many hours over the years sharing his love of music with all those around him, including his wife Pearl, there sons Dallas and Dawson, nephews, nieces and grandchildren and cherished his time with them always.
With his siblings and additional family and friends back in NL, home was always in his heart and mind often reminiscing and telling stories of family and friends back home whom he loved dearly.
Brendan’s passion to provide for his family and his unequivocal hard work ethic, had led him across the country from a young age after working in the fishing and mining industry, which eventually led him to working in the construction industry, in Alberta, Ontario, and eventually British Columbia. Always content and eager to get a job done, Brendan’s hard working personality and “get er done” attitude and his loving compassion for his wife and family will live on in our hearts forever and he will be cherished to eternity.
Brendan is survived by his wife of 54 years Pearl Caines (nee Dempster), his children Dallas Caines, Dawson Caines (Michelle) and his grandchildren Madison, Reyde, Kevin(Chloe) and Alison (Karl), his great granddaughter Aria Montes as well as his brothers, Lemore Caines (Marg), Randel Caines (Marlene) and his sisters Maude Simmonds (Cyril), Hazel Burke (Wally), Isabelle Cuff (Bob) and sister in law Cathy Caines.
Brendan was predeceased by his mother and father, Luke and Evangeline Caines (nee Mahar), and his brothers Luke, Vincent and Clifford Caines.
A private family viewing has taken place on Nov 08, 2024 in Prince George at the Fraser View funeral home.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date in Bartlett’s Harbour NL.
