Denis Alexander Huet

Denis was born on July 12, 1951 in Peace River, AB to Henry and Marie Huet. Denis had one older and two younger sisters. He started working for BC Rail when he was eighteen. He married his wife Jean on June 26, 1976. Their daughter Kerri joined them on April 7, 1978. Denis worked for Cargill Grainers for a few years before returning to Dawson in 1983. He continued working for BC Rail and driving cabs.

On February 19, 2011 his daughter was married to her husband Nathan. On June 28, 2011, after 35 years of marriage, his wife Jean passed away suddenly. Shortly after that his health started to decline. On January 5, 2024 Denis passed away in his sleep.

Denis is predeceased by his wife Jean, his parents Henry and Marie and his sister Diane Matheson.

He is survived by his daughter Kerri (Nathan) Eckert, his sister Louise (Greg) Stanek, his sister Lorraine (Gary) Stone, nephews Bradley (Jessica) Stanek, Chris (Amy) Stone, nieces Danielle Stone, Leanne Matheson, Landon (Kourtney) Stanek, Keith (Kim) Matheson, Brittany (Niall), and Nicole (Sean).
