We are sad to announce the passing of Elaine on Sunday March 19, 2023. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Cliff; children Dion (Tynsel), Guy (Kathy), Jennifer (Steven), Lisa (James), Gina (Marty); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; adopted daughter Laurie; sister Arlene (Eldon); as well as countless family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Rita and Oliver Plante.
Elaine was born in Porcupine Plain, SK, then moved to Stone Creek, BC as a young child. She spent her adult years living in Hixon and Prince George. She worked at various jobs in the city and retired from Canada Post to begin her new adventures in Mexico. Her favourite place was the beach in San Carlos, including many adventures like the train tour to Copper Canyon. Her joy was hiking with friends and kayaking.
We would like to thank the Prince George Cancer Clinic and UHNBC for taking such good care of Elaine over the years and especially these last few weeks.
No service will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate, in honour of Mom, to the Canadian Cancer Society.
