It is with much sadness that I write here on the passing of Elsie.  The time that has passed since I received the news have been filled with memories of Elsie's kindness, supportiveness, and sense of humour.  In my formative  teenage years the Ross household was a place I loved to be, always lots going on, great meals happening in the kitchen,  and  I will never forget how welcome Elsie  and her amazing family made me feel there.  Although visits in my adult life were few and far between, it was always a true pleasure to sit with Elsie over a coffee or tea and talk  about life at the time.
My heart goes out to Ian, Tim and Jeana and their families, and all of the extended family and friends of Elsie's and the Ross clan.  


Although I met Elsie only once or twice, I came to know of her through my son Jordan who worked (and continues to putz when able) at the shop. I know she made him feel welcome as did the rest of the Ross family and it continues.  A tribute to your loving and caring nature. You will be missed, but rest assured you will live on in the memories and spirit of those you have touched. 

So many memories with this wonderful lady and her family. It started on the crusher crew in 1973 I believe! We were so young and depended on each other to stay sane living in a camp with nothing to do but visit each other!! Our condolences to Ian, Tim, and Jeana and friends and family!!😘

Hello everyone , this is Elsies granddaughter Emma (Jeana’s) oldest daughter . I would just like to take a moment to thank everyone for their kind words. I will assure to pass them on to Pappa Ian 😊

Elsie was my dearest childhood friend, even before grade 1.  We went to school together, grades 1 through 12. After graduation our lives and careers took us in different directions for many years.  In recent times we saw each other more frequently when I was staying in Chetwynd to care for my mom. Elsie would drop by mom's hospital room  to  visit. She has always been  gentle and kind and so willing to give from her heart. I remember her beautiful smile and warm hugs.  Rest in peace my friend.  I hope to see you again before too long, God willing. Every blessing and grace. ✝️💜😇🙏🙋‍♀️

I’ll cherish the  memories Elsie left me.     Serving our community with a smile that will be greatly missed.
