

Gordon Ira Grant, 86, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, in Prince George, British Columbia. Born on September 20, 1938, in Myrtle, Ontario, Gordon lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to his work, deep faith, and a generous spirit.
Over the course of his life, Gordon held many jobs that reflected his strong work ethic and versatility. He spent time as a truck driver, drawn to the independence and freedom of the open road. However, it was in the hospitality industry where he found his lasting vocation. For the last 45 years of his life, Gordon owned and managed a motel, pouring his energy and pride into every detail of its operation. His commitment to hard work and excellence left a lasting impression on those who crossed paths with him.
Gordon was known for his fun-loving personality and big heart. He had a natural gift for making people laugh and feel welcome. Whether sharing stories with friends or cracking jokes to lighten the mood, he brought joy wherever he went. His generosity extended beyond words—he gave freely of his time and support to those around him.
Gordon dedicated much of his life to playing hockey, a sport he was deeply passionate about. In his later years, he found great joy in the company of his German Shepherd, Ty. Their bond was truly special, and he had a deep love for Ty.
A man of deep faith, Gordon was a devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. His belief system guided him throughout his life and provided strength during difficult times.
Gordon is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Marianna Lisk; sons Paul Grant and John (Nora) Tedesco; grandsons Colby Grant, Cooper Tedesco, Brody Tedesco, and Lowell Tedesco; stepdaughters Heidy (Brian) Barbie and Terry Lee Orendorf. He was predeceased by his parents Bernice Bonhom and John Grant; brothers Ray, Hugh, and Russel; sister Audrey; and sons Gordon Tedesco and Bruce Tedesco.
In accordance with Gordon’s wishes, no service will be held.
Gordon’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May his legacy of laughter, generosity, and unwavering dedication bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.
