Helen was predeceased by her husband Don; her father Frank Dudek; her mother Emily Dudek.
Lovingly remembered by her family, she is survived by sisters Virginia Windsor (George) and Lorie Hunter (Guy Boudreau); brothers Len (Carmen) and Gary; nieces Wanda (Dave) and Devann (Reed); nephews Devin (Sherry), Jeff (Rhonda), Dustin (Breanna ) and Michael (Jazmin). She also leaves behind step niece and step nephews as well as many more great nieces and nephews.
Born in Manitoba, she entered the military in 1957 and made a career of it. She met her husband in the military and they married in Toronto in 1959. They spent time in Europe, stationed between France and Germany, and were able to travel throughout Europe and other countries. She spent 6 months in Egypt from 1970 - 1971 and had some tales to tell of her travels. Helen had a fierce love for her family, she loved family gatherings. We are grateful for the time we were able to have with her, as she was half way around the world away from us in the earlier years. She retired at age 50 and lived in Vernon until the passing of her husband in 2012. In 2013, she moved to Prince George and spent her remaining years near family.
We thank all the staff for the great care she received at the Prince George Rotary Hospice House .
