Jose Fernando Moreira da Rocha

Jose was born on October 29, 1939 in Recarei, Portugal. He was a soldier for the Portuguese Armed Forces for 10 years before landing his dream and coming to Canada in 1965. He spent time in Montreal, Quebec before coming to British Columbia to work at the WAC Bennett Dam. He then enjoyed managing apartment buildings in Dawson Creek and Prince George.

He had a soft soul; his kindness and compassion will be remembered by all that crossed paths with him. Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever.

Jose will be forever missed and remembered by all the cherished memories and laughs.

We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Dr’s Butow, Koehn, McGhee and Carter. Also to all the wonderful nurses/care aids in short stay and PCMU at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia and Northern Health home support for all your compassion, kindness and excellent care.

We would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Oncore Senior Society for all their generosity and kindness over the last years. You brought lots of joy to his life and he loved all the extra late night desserts.
