Kathleen Jean Callaghan

Kathleen Jean Callaghan (nee Cunningham) Born February 11, 1924 our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away July 8, 2011 at the age of 87. Jean will be sadly missed by her children Shirley Markovic (Rudy); Lois Stoelwinder (Glen Owen); Don (Barb); Rick (Helen); Lynn Dunford (Marius) and her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Patrick; her daughter Marie Carswell; son Wayne; sisters Eileen Singer and Evelyn Wells; and her brother Gerald. Jean considered her home and family to be her greatest accomplishment. She was a dedicated volunteer with the Catholic Women's League (60 years); Legion Auxiliary; and Hospital Auxiliary. Jean enjoyed reading, music, knitting and gardening. Her love, warmth, compassion and caring will be deeply missed. We would like to thank the staff at the Simon Fraser Lodge for the wonderful care they extended to our mother. A service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1088 Gillett Street, Prince George, BC on Wednesday July 13, 2011 at 1:00pm, Funeral services under the direction of First Memorial Funeral Services (formerly Lakewood). In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
