Lawrence Peter Walch

Born to Wilfred and Mabel Walch on March 25, 1935 in Victoria, BC., Peter was a dedicated husband, father, brother, grandfather, GG and friend. He was in the Canadian Armed Forces for 23.5 years, which brought him from the West Coast to the East Coast, along with overseas to France. Following his retirement from the Canadian Armed Forces, Peter began driving Charter Buses which he did for 23 years. Peter was very proud of his careers and had the best stories to tell from his adventures. He was a proud and dedicated Masonic Lodge member for 60 years.

Peter is predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Mabel and his wife of 50 years, Doreen in 2006. He is survived by his three children Susan (Terry), Mike (Vicki) and Karen (Warren); his seven grandchildren Amie(Mike), Travis (Jeanette), Eric (Meghan), Sarah (Jon), Courtney (Brett), Taylor (John) and Timothy; his nine great-grandchildren Izabella, Carter, Xander, Ashlynn, Maive, Rhett, Easton, Brooks and Oaklynn; his brother, Bob (Penny); nephews Jim (Cyndi) and Guy (Raelene); niece Bobbi.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 6, 2026 from 1pm-3pm at the Masonic Hall located at 480 Vancouver St, Prince George, BC.

The family will lay Peter to rest beside his wife, Doreen, in a private gathering in Victoria, BC.
